Assessing your personal level of risk for developing breast cancer has far-reaching implications on the need to start testing for the early detection of the disease, on the time intervals between the tests, and on the need to undergo additional preventive procedures, in an attempt to prevent and influence the onset of the disease.

It is important to emphasize that this digital platform was built for a healthy population (those who are not patients or not cancer survivors), is designed to be completed anonymously, and is scientifically based.

Dr. Daphna Barsuk

Oncological Breast Surgeon

Dr. Daphna Barsuk graduated her medical studies at the Technion Faculty of Medicine with honors. She specializes in general surgery and breast surgery at the Sheba Medical Center. She has a fellowship in breast surgery from the European Institute of Oncology, Milan, Italy and a fellowship in oncological breast surgery from the University of Toronto, Canada. She completed professional training in breast oncology at the School of Breast Oncology in Atlanta, USA. She has many years of experience in the surgical treatment of breast cancer and oncoplastic surgeries at Ichilov Hospital, Assuta Ramat-HaHayal, and the Meuhedet and Maccabi HMOs. She is currently the Director of the Breast Surgery Clinic, Assuta Ramat HaHayal.

Dr. Michal Guindy

Specialist in diagnostic radiology and Head of the Innovation Division

Additional information

Dr. Michal Guindy is a graduate of the Department of Medicine at Ben Gurion University. She has a specialty in diagnostic radiology in the field of breast imaging, and until recently served as the Head of the Imaging Division at Assuta Medical Centers. In the past, she held managerial positions at Maccabi Health Services, including: Director of the Risk Management Department; Director of National Services; District Physician, Central District. She served as Chairperson of the PathoLab Board of Directors and continues to serve as a board member. Today, she is the Director of the Innovation Division, Assuta Medical Centers and manages the Israeli arm of MyPeBS, an international clinical study funded by the European Union for the evaluation of a personalized program for screening tests for the early detection of breast cancer.

Prof. Eitan Friedman

Specialist in internal medicine, medical genetics and oncogenetics

Graduate of the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University (1979). Specialist in internal medicine (1987) and in medical genetics (2000) Holder of an additional doctoral (PhD) degree from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden (1993). Founder and Director of the Oncogenetics Unit at Sheba Hospital, Tel Hashomer, between 1995 and 2021. Founder and Director of the High Risk Clinic at the Meirav Center, Sheba Hospital, since 2007. Full Professor (since 2008) at the Department of Internal Medicine and the Department of Genetics and Biochemistry, the Sackler School of Medicine. At Tel Aviv University, he published over 420 original articles in English and 3 children's books. He has been a presenter for medical programs on television and health corners on television since 1986 (""Zehu Ze”, “Kav Patuah”, ""The Professors”, and the ""Stethoscope"" health corner on the network's morning program, which has aired since 2007). He is currently the Director of the Center for Personalized Preventive Medicine, Assuta Ramat Ha'Hayal. The first Israeli to swim around Manhattan (1989) and the first Israeli to swim the English Channel solo (1993); he intends to try to be the oldest person in the world to swim the English Channel at the age of 75 (2028).

Member of the National Council for Health Promotion, and member of the Remote Medicine Community, The Ministry of Health. Committee member in the Israeli Association for Health Promotion and Education. Active in the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE) and the International Network of Health Promoting Hospitals & Health Services (HPH).

Graduate of international seminars in public health and globalization (WFUNA-WHO), physical activity for the population of chronic disease sufferers (ACSM), coaching for health (Wellcoaches- Harvard Institue for Coaching), health-promoting hospitals. The Department of Health Promotion at Assuta is a clinical field for the training and guidance of Master's degree students in Public Health and Health Promotion, The University of Haifa.

As an investigator, the Gastrointestinal and Liver Institute, Tel Aviv Medical Center (Ichilov). As the Deputy Spokesperson and Director of Marketing and Health Promotion at the Tel Aviv Medical Center (Ichilov).
